12 DAYS OF AMARO
Starting 10th December, we’re counting down to Christmas with 12 carefully chosen amaros, selected by Julian himself.
Some are classics, some are cult favourites, and one is made just for us. Expect bold flavours, warming spice, and a little mystery in every pour. Try a new amaro each day in the lead-up to Christmas. Join us for a taste, a story, and a seat at the bar.
The Line-Up:
Day 1 – Montenegro
Soft, orange-peel charm with a whisper of vanilla and spice, the amaro that hugs you back. Christmas pudding in liquid form, senza the drama.
Day 2 – Cynar
Artichoke-dark, herbal and salty-sweet, the cult favourite for chefs, bartenders and anyone who loves a little chaos. The black turtleneck of bitters.
Day 3 – Braulio
Minty-pine Alpine magic, tastes like a Christmas tree took a spa day. Drink it, and suddenly you can ski.
Day 4 – Averna
Sicilian caramel, cola and orange peel with a bitter cocoa twist, like tiramisù’s moody cousin. Pour over ice with an orange wedge and call it church.
Day 5 – Nonino
Elegant, lifted and dangerously classy, the silk pyjamas of the amaro world. Nectarine, alpine herbs, Friuli finesse.
Day 6 – Vecchio Amaro del Capo
Frozen and citrus-spiked. Southern Italy’s answer to gelato for grown-ups. The beach holiday you wish December actually felt like.
Day 7 – Ischia Amarocello
Limoncello’s moodier, herbal cousin, lemon zest, sea breeze and volcanic herbs. Capri but with attitude.
Day 8 – Amaro di Langa
Dense, walnut-herbal, wildflower-dark, Piemonte in a bottle. Truffle country bitterness with a cocoa-dust finish.
Day 9 – Branca Menta
A frosty little mint-bomb from the Branca family: cool, herbal and cheeky. Like Fernet snuck off, put on a winter coat and came back ready to carol.
Day 10 – Amaro Lucano
Caramel-tinged, herbal and warm, Matera’s house blend of “Christmas spices for grown-ups.” Your nonna would approve.
Day 11 – Amaro dell’Etna
Smoky-citrus Sicilian lava magic: blood orange, bitter herbs, volcanic ash vibes. A very “Mount Etna is watching” kind of pour.
Day 12 – Red Mill x De Vine Amaro
House-grown mischief: spice, citrus, botanicals, and big DeVine energy. The final day ends where the heart is.
