Join us on 27th February at De Vine for a special Bar Takeover in support of a beloved figure in Australian wine.

Bushfire Relief for Gilles Lapalus, presented by Fox Wine Company & Cerbaco Distribution, is a one-off event featuring a tight, expressive selection of wines from Maison Lapalus and Bertrand Bespoke, plus pours of Gilles’ iconic Maidenii Vermouth.

In early January, devastating bushfires tore through central Victoria, impacting the home and vineyard of legendary winemaker Gilles Lapalus, the force behind Maison Lapalus and Bertrand Bespoke. While his family is safe, the damage to his land and operation is significant, and like many small producers, recovery will take time, resources, and community support.

To help, we’re bringing together a considered line-up of Gilles’ wines and vermouths for one afternoon at De Vine. Expect expressive whites, chilled reds, and textured rosé served by the glass and bottle, made from organic fruit with minimal intervention. Maidenii Vermouth will play a central role on the day, with every pour contributing to the cause.
